UNBRIDLED

With bold brushstrokes, vivid colors, and lush texture, Dina D'Argo captures the grace and beauty of her natural subjects. An animal lover and horsewoman, her focus is on celebrating the spiritual bond between ourselves, the diversity of nature, and the Earth's creatures. Dina works mainly in acrylic on canvas, with a refined yet dramatic blend of abstract and representational styles. Her expressionist paintings are an intuitive process using symbolism and metaphor to convey a deeper meaning beyond the image.

Dina D'Argo began her fine art career over 30 years ago, experimenting with a variety of media, participating in group shows, and creating commissioned pieces. After earning her degree in Fashion Design in 1993 she began a successful design business in Los Angeles, California. Her return to painting full time followed a serious horseback riding accident that changed the course of her life and eventually led her to deepen her commitment to her lifelong passion for art. Originally from San Diego County, she has also lived in Hollywood and in the rural Sierra Foothill area of California. She recently spent 7 years on the edge of the Wao Hele O Puna Rainforest of Hawaii. Her paintings have been featured in galleries and private collections in Hawaii, California, Oregon, Florida, and Amsterdam, among many other places. Dina now lives near Nashville, and shows her work throughout Tennessee. When not in the studio she enjoys spending time with her horses and dogs and is active in a number of non-profit organizations.

Dina has participated in a variety of art festivals and group shows, both in Hawaii and mainland U.S.A. and was recently featured in Horses In Art Magazine. She is currently represented by Dreams Of Paradise Gallery in Hawaii, G & Co. Gallery in Florida, All About Art Gallery in Tennessee, and her own Unbridled: Fine Art By Dina D'Argo.
